Refund Policy

1. What this covers

This policy applies to paid Plus and Pro keys bought from us or from a seller listed in our Discord. Free and Booster keys cost nothing, so there is nothing to refund.

2. The 14-day window

You have 14 days from the date of purchase to ask for a refund. We will refund the full amount, provided the key has not been activated.

A key counts as activated the moment it is first pasted into the app and bound to a device. The licence server records when that happens, so this is a matter of record rather than of argument. Up to that point the key is unused and fully refundable; after it, the software has been delivered and consumed.

3. How to ask

Email support@usecatalyst.dev, or open a Billing ticket in the Discord. Include the email address or Discord account you bought with, roughly when you bought, and how you paid. Do not put your key in a public channel.

We aim to answer within 3 working days and to send an approved refund within 14 days of approving it. Refunds go back the way the money came:

Refunded keys are revoked at the same time.

4. If Catalyst does not work

Separately from the 14-day window, if the app is genuinely broken for you and we cannot fix it, we will refund you — whether or not the key was activated and whether or not 14 days have passed. Talk to support first and give us a real chance to fix it, because most of what looks broken is the macOS quarantine flag or an out-of-date build, and both take a minute to sort out.

This is not a route to a refund because a feature works differently than you hoped. The pricing page and the FAQ describe what each tier does; read them before buying.

5. What is not refundable

6. Cancelling and downgrading

Keys do not auto-renew. Nothing recurs and there is no subscription to cancel: a key simply runs out at the end of its term and you decide whether to buy another. Upgrading mid-term credits the unused value of your current key against the new one; downgrading takes effect when the current term ends.

7. Your legal rights

Nothing here removes any right you have by law. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU you normally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance purchase — the policy above gives you that as a matter of contract, and more generously than the minimum, since the statutory right is one you can be asked to waive for digital content delivered immediately. You also keep your rights where digital content is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

These rights sit alongside this policy rather than being replaced by it.

8. Chargebacks

Please talk to us before starting a chargeback. A chargeback on a key you received and activated is treated as a breach of the Terms: the key is revoked and we will not sell to that account again. A genuine dispute, raised with us first, gets sorted out without any of that.
